Opened in 2013 founder SUMAYA TONDA started the spa in NTINDA with the belief that a premier spa should provide the finest quality services and products in an environment that is inviting and relaxing.

Meet Essence Spa founder.
A spa requires an uncompromising commitment to first – class expertise and services. but should also be relaxing and unpretentious escape for its guests – a place where self-care and wellness are truly honored. Asa people person and healer of the body, that’s exactly what essence spa lounge founder SUMAYA does best.
SUMAYA has 10 years of professional experience as a licensed therapist, participating in world spa & wellness convention in South Africa on 2nd September 2018.
Her hands-on expertise has informed the culture, protocols and staff qualifications, thus helping Essence earn the distinction of “Best spa & Beauty lounge 2022-kampala Uganda” and “Best spa in Ntinda. “
Sumaya founded the company in 2013 she serves as a visionary for Essence’s treatment menu, curates the product and retail mix and leads essence culture and training.
She is adventurous (loves trying out new skills) loves music, exercise and art. She channels her creative juices in essence’s unpretentious style and décor. Just take a look around next time you visit.
Her greatest joy in life is being a business woman and a mom to her two sons she calls ‘Kings’.
